Tom Hart Dyke: Plant Hunter and Gardener with Passion

Tom is a Plant hunter and creator of the World Garden at Lullingstone Castle. Tom first shot to international prominence in 2000, when he and his travelling companion were kidnapped in the Colombian jungle whilst on a plant hunting expedition. The idea for the World Garden came to him while he was being held captive and, after being released in late 2000, he set about creating the World Garden in the grounds of the castle. He has also written a best-selling book, The Cloud Garden0 which details his experiences in the jungle. Tom has also made several TV programmes about plant hunting and Lullingstone Castle.

The Hardy Plant Society Southern Counties Group are holding this meeting at The Old Barn Hall, 55 Church Road, Great Bookham, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT23 3PQ.  Doors open at 10am, the talk will begin at 10.45am.
